The
South Bay Polymer Clay Guild was created in 1994 and still
holds monthly member meetings. All of our meetings include
a member "Show & Tell"
and an exciting demonstration of a technique by one of our many
talented members or, sometimes, a guest artist. |
We
offer classes to members at a discount. In the past, we have
had classes taught by:
- Donna Kato
- Mike Buesseler
- City Zen Cane
- Celie Fago
- Carrie Gaffney
- Gwen Gibson
- Lindly Haunani
- Tory Hughes
- Laura Liska
- Margaret Maggio
- Sara Shriver
- Pier Voulkos

We
offer a Clay Days up to several times a year. Clay Days cost
$10. Members offer tutorials to other members on a variety
of topics. Usually three topics are covered during a Clay Day.
Previous topics have included photographing your work, making
face canes, basic and advanced bead making, making four strand
braids, simulating semi-precious stones, and more.
Another consideration
is having the guild host "Clay Get Togethers", a
time when members can escape all responsibilities and just
play with their clay for the day - no lessons, no demos, no
pressures at all! Please stay tuned for more information on
these events. |
We
have an extensive lending library of videos, books and magazine
that members may borrow. There are no fees for borrowing materials.
(Unless you're late in returning them!). |
We educate
the community regarding polymer clay. Periodically, we have displays
in local libraries, and sale days at a local bead store. |
